JPC: JFA has a new CD out "Only Live Once" and it's available at http://www.interpunk.com/. Tell us about the new CD. That said, give us one reason we should buy it rather than listen to "We Know You Suck" over and over?
BB: Well, I think it's the best thing we ever did, next to the stuff we just recorded for Duane Peter's label, Disaster Records. That new stuff is truly some bad ass shit. A compilation called Concrete Wave will feature five songs from us and five each from Blue Collar and The Worthless. It should be out sometime in March, I highly suggest getting it.
JPC: JFA is one of those bands that never went away, kinda like Bad Religion, how do you feel about the spate of old H.C. bands that keep getting back together? I'm playing the Devil's advocate here, in your opinion, is there a difference between the DK's reunion and Los O reunion?
Well, I have friends in both bands, as well as friends that were in the original bands (Jello, for instance) so I don't want to talk shit one way or another. Personally I'm stoked to see old bands and old skaters coming out of the woodworks and still doing what they were doing a long time ago. To me it shows that they really believed in it then because they're still doing it now. The people that gave up on it and never went back I don't think were really true believers to begin with.
JPC: What's your take on the whole DK's thing? And more importantly, were you aware that "Courtship of Eddie's Father" was singing in Dr. Know all these years?
BB: Yeah, I know Brandon Cruz, he's a good skate buddy of mine and a good friend. As for the politics involved, I don't really know enough to say one way or another.
